What this site is
Most SGX-focused retail content stays at the surface — P/E ratios, dividend yields, a paragraph of qualitative commentary. This site goes further. Each piece is built around a financial model, sourced from primary documents (SGX filings, annual reports, company presentations), and structured around a falsifiable thesis. I show the math. When I’m wrong, I write the post-mortem.
The target reader is an investor who already understands the basics and wants to see how someone actually thinks through a valuation — what assumptions go in, what drives the output, and what would change the view.
Who writes this
I work in corporate finance in Singapore. I am not a sell-side analyst, fund manager, or licensed financial adviser. I read annual reports for a living, which gives me some useful habits: I care about footnotes, I distrust headline numbers, and I find accounting policy changes more interesting than most people do.
I write here because I enjoy it and because putting analysis in writing forces rigour. Every piece is drafted, sat on overnight, and re-read before it goes up. Quality over volume is the explicit editorial policy.
What this site is not
This is not a tips service. It is not a stock screener. It is not a substitute for your own research or for advice from someone who knows your financial situation. I write about what interests me, at whatever pace suits me. Some months there will be two pieces; some months there will be none.
